Although I started teaching my children "Mom-style" English at home when they were young (and I was a complete novice at English myself...😅), I naturally assumed that I would have to send them to an English academy once they reached the upper grades. However, my perspective has changed a bit since the advent of AI. Since AI acts as a substitute for a mom who struggles with English—translating my child's English diary, identifying incorrect words and grammar, and even recommending polite feedback—I realized I could study at home comfortably without ever getting into an argument with my child. Beyond that, there are endless possibilities for utilizing AI in learning, such as recommending original English books and managing study progress. However, there were definitely "points to be careful about" when using AI for home study coaching. I have summarized in this video the insights I gained from personally using AI while studying at home with my children, as well as the mistakes you absolutely must avoid.
