Fostering Black Scholars (Scholarship Success Workshop 2025)
The Faculty of Graduate Studies recently hosted the third annual Fostering Black Scholars – Scholarship Success Workshop, an event designed to highlight new funding opportunities for Black scholars and share strategies on how to leverage them. The workshop featured Black faculty members and graduate scholars who hold prestigious awards, offering personal stories, scholarship successes, and practical advice on navigating funding as a Black scholar. Now in its third year, this event continues to build a collegial space for incoming and current graduate students to learn from one another, strengthen networks, and support each other’s academic journeys at York University.
