SUMMER 2021 • Competed for Team USA in the FIBA U19 World Cup in Latvia. • Averaged 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.7 blocks in just 16.5 minutes, leading the Americans to the Gold medal. Ranked second on the team in scoring. • Led the team in scoring in the Gold-medal game against France, sparking a second-half rally after trailing by eight midway through the third quarter, scoring 16 total points. • Was named to the FIBA U19 All-Star 5 Team. 2020-21 • Ivey had an outstanding freshman campaign, being named to the Big Ten's All-Freshman Team after averaging 11.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Also contributed 17 steals and 16 blocked shots in just 23 games played. • Was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week twice (Jan. 25, Feb. 8). • Played his best late in the season, averaging 18.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game over the last six contests. Shot 37-of-79 (.468) from the field, 14-of-40 (.350) from long distance and 21-of-25 (.840) from the free throw line during that span. • Scored 26 points in the NCAA Tournament loss to North Texas, the second most by a Big Ten freshman playing in his NCAA Tournament debut in league history. • Scored at least 14 points in each of his last six games. • Scored in double-figures in 14 games, including two games of 20 or more points. HIGH SCHOOL • Averaged over 15 points and shot over 40 percent from long range in his one season at La Lumiere, playing against an elite schedule. • Averaged 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 43.1 percent from long distance with the Indy Heat on the Nike EYBL circuit in 2018. • Chose Purdue over Indiana, Notre Dame, Butler and Ohio State. PERSONAL • Majoring in African-American studies. • Born Feb. 13, 2002. • Son of Niele Ivey and Javin Hunter. • Mother, Niele, is the head women’s basketball coach at Notre Dame after a year as an assistant coach with the Memphis Grizzlies.
