Australiania Theme Koala using the June Product of the Month "Wild Bunch"

Today I created an Australian‑themed birthday card using June’s Product of the Month, Wild Bunch, and featured the adorable koala as the star of the design. The card base is Crumb Cake, and I stamped the leafy image in Versamark to create a deeper, tone‑on‑tone background. The koala was stamped in Memento Black and coloured with Stampin’ Up! Watercolour Pencils for a soft, natural look. To build the gum tree, I selected Designer Series Paper that mimicked bark and added die‑cut leaves from the retired Citrus Blooms Dies. I highlighted the leaves with Pretty Peacock ink and popped most of them up on Dimensionals for depth, leaving a few flat in the background for contrast. For extra character, I cut a second koala head and mounted it on a wobbler, giving the card a fun, interactive element. I also blended colour onto a die‑cut layer mount to create that warm Australian summer glow, and added a touch of Old Olive Blends to suggest grass. The sentiment was heat‑embossed in black, trimmed closely, and adhered to the card.
