Navigating Pain and Identity in Christ | Lo Alaman | Restoration Church

This weekend Lo Alaman dove into Matthew chapter 16 where he explored the transformative power of pain and the importance of grounding our identity in Christ rather than in our wounds or cultural ideologies. He warned against the subtle influence of the Pharisees' and Sadducees' teachings, which can distort our understanding of Jesus. He then emphasized that while pain can teach valuable lessons, it should not define our beliefs or identity. Instead, we are called to embrace the truth and healing found in Jesus' wounds, allowing His grace and truth to shape our worldview. Lo challenged us to meet God in the low places of life, trusting in His faithfulness and care, and to avoid overemphasizing parts of Jesus' message that fit personal or cultural contexts, thereby missing the fullness of His kingdom.
