I especially ask Allah to allow me to speak clearly today, because in the first half of this khutbah, many men will be displeased with me, and in the second half, many women will be displeased with me. But that's okay! We must speak only the truth about the Word of Allah, and (we cannot) "... - do not fear people, but fear Allah." And what I will share today regarding this extraordinary verse of the Quran, I am not going to share because I live by this verse and you do not. We all strive to live up to the standards set forth in the Word of Allah. The Word of Allah itself is perfect, but it is not intended for perfect people. The guidance of Allah is not for angels; the guidance of Allah is for people. And Allah knows that we make mistakes. Therefore, when we reflect on the verses of the Quran, it would be wrong to think, "Well, yes, this is from the Quran! It is for the best of people, not for me." It is for both you and me. And if we don't live up to it, then we must strive to live up to it. That's what's required of us.
