Manjushree Trail Race 100 | 初めてのネパールで灼熱の100マイル

I ran the 100-mile race at Manjushree Trail Race (MTR) in Nepal. I had planned to focus on Rinjani 100 this year, but in March I realized I couldn’t make it due to my relocation schedule. So I entered MTR just one month before the race. I had already been considering both races and gathering information, so the late switch wasn’t a big issue. The course loops around the mountains and villages surrounding Kathmandu, with a high point of 2,700m and an average elevation of around 2,000m. I thought I was used to altitude after BTS100    • BTS100 170km | インドネシアでの100マイルレース予定外の初挑戦    last year, but it was still tough. Not very technical, but the endless stairs—especially later in the race—took a heavy toll. It was my first time in Nepal. Very different from Southeast Asia, yet somehow familiar. My biggest source of info was the Glocal Trails Podcast https://open.spotify.com/show/6H7hw2H... by three runners who raced last year—highly recommended if you’re considering it. Six Japanese runners finished the 100-mile race this time, and I enjoyed spending time together before, during, and after. Thanks to Yoshikawa-san for connecting everyone. My only regret is not seeing the Himalayas. I guess I’ll have to come back. 00:00 Intro 01:16 Arriving Kathmandu 02:28 Jogging around Kathmandu World Heritage sites 08:17 Race pack collection 12:03 Race days 50:35 Outro
