The Grave of Sophie Lancaster In todays video we are in Whitworth Cemetery visiting the graves of Sophie Lancaster & her mum Sylvia. Sophie was violently attacked while out walking with her boyfriend Robert. While Robert was knocked unconcious, she was trying to protect/sheild him from further injury but was herself attacked by a gang of teenage boys who inflicted catastrophic head injuries leading to her death in hospital 13 days later. Robert survived his injuries. Sylvia, Sophies mother is also buried alongside her daughter, She was recognised with an OBE for her campaign work.
