This is the most incredible discovery I have ever made while metal detecting! We were searching an overgrown area next to an ancient stone wall ruin when we got a strong signal. We began excavation and quickly realized we had found something massive: a buried, corroded iron safe This safe was incredibly difficult to open, necessitating the use of extreme tools and even a small amount of fire. You will not believe what was inside. We found stacks of US $100 bills and Canadian currency, but the real surprise was the silver pistol hidden among the money. The safe was a treasure cache, containing a pot of gold chains and coins. But perhaps the most mysterious item was an incredibly old, singed parchment deed or map, which may hold the key to an even bigger fortune!
