The Battle of Koniggratz 1866
The Battle of Koniggratz, aka Sadowa, was one of the most decisive events in the march toward a German Empire, under the leadership of the Kingdom of Prussia. Prussian victory in the Austro-Prussian War further marked the sharp decline of Austria as a European power. Here, the future of Germany, and Europe as a whole, was decided on a battlefield in Bohemia.
