Season the country-style ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Wrap the ribs in foil packets and place them in the preheated oven. Bake for 2 hours. Remove the ribs from the oven and generously coat them with barbecue sauce. Place the sauced ribs back in the oven for an additional 1 hour. After 3 hours of total cooking time, check for fork tenderness. The meat should easily separate. For a final touch, broil the ribs for about 20 minutes to caramelize the barbecue sauce and achieve a sticky texture. Enjoy your rich, melt-in-your-mouth country-style ribs!
