It's a subject that's always fascinated me since I was a child, even though I was born in 1989 and the disaster occurred on April 26, 1986. This is because the effects of the Chernobyl disaster were evident even years later, and it remains a reminder to humanity that it challenges nature. But in my case, in my hometown, we hosted children from Chernobyl. So, 35 years after the disaster, I was pleased to tell you about Chernobyl through different eyes. This is also why I opened the website http://www.visitchernobyl.it, where you'll find in-depth information on how to visit Chernobyl and real-time news from the exclusion zone. In fact, this won't be a trip focused on abandoned places. This journey will be much more. I'll show you, through the eyes of a drone, but also beyond, life in Chernobyl today. I'll take you to Chernobyl City, to Pripyat. We'll enter the exploded reactor 4 together. I'll show you an interview with a Chernobyl stalker. I'll tell you the story of Valentina, a Chernobyl resettled person. And I'll show you the DUGA RADAR, the 1km-long and 150m-high military antenna used by Russia to spy on the United States. The DUGA radar, also known as the "Russian Woodpecker," became a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the 35th anniversary of the disaster, April 26, 2021. In this episode, I'll show you what's on offer and what it's like to live in Chernobyl City.
