Her innovative performance style transcended geographical boundaries when she became the first to incorporate Gregorian Chants (traditionally sung in Roman Catholic Churches in Europe) into a traditional Bharatnatyam concert. Apeksha has been honored with numerous awards and titles, including the national Best Performer Award by Parthsarathi Swami Sabha, the Nritya Shiromani Award, the Yuva Kala Ratna Award, the Vengi Kala Ratna Award, the Nupur Kala Ratna Award, the Nataraj Sanman, the Nritya Jyoti title, the Natyakala Choodamani title, the Nrityaranjini title, and the Nrityashivali title, among many others.
