Bible Pastor Samuel Shropshire’s Journey to Islam

Samuel Shropshire was born in the United States into a Christian family and grew up with little knowledge of Islam. His life took an unexpected turn when he received an invitation from Dr. Safi Kaskas in Saudi Arabia to review the English interpretation of the Qur’an. Although Samuel did not know Arabic and approached the task purely from a linguistic perspective, his strong sense of ethics led him to read the Qur’an repeatedly to ensure accuracy. With each reading, he began to encounter meanings and truths that quietly touched his heart. During his stay in Saudi Arabia, Samuel often felt alone in his apartment. In the evenings, he would sit on his balcony and observe a nearby mosque, watching people of all ages and backgrounds entering and leaving together. The sight of rich and poor, men and women, united with warmth and respect deeply moved him. Curiosity grew within him, and one day he gathered the courage to enter the mosque. Sitting quietly at the back, he watched the congregational prayer and felt the profound beauty of worshipping one God, Allah, in humility and unity. With the guidance and support of Dr. Safi Kaskas, Samuel eventually embraced Islam, leaving behind his former life as a Christian pastor. His journey became a powerful reflection of the divine truth that Allah guides whom He wills. Today, Samuel Shropshire’s transformation from pastor to Muslim preacher continues to inspire people around the world, reminding seekers that a sincere search for truth can lead to the light of Islam.
