Pouring This DIY Patio Didn't Go As Planned

I thought pouring this concrete patio would be one of the easier projects... Instead, within minutes of starting, we were dealing with concrete that was much too dry, equipment issues, and a race against the clock to get everything finished before the concrete set. Thankfully, we stuck with it and ended up with a patio that will completely change how we use our backyard. In this video I take you through the entire process from start to finish: ✅ Excavating and preparing the site ✅ Building and leveling the forms ✅ Installing reinforcement ✅ The concrete pour (and the problems we ran into) ✅ Finishing and brooming the surface ✅ The tools I used throughout the project ✅ The final result This new 16' x 8' concrete patio will become the landing for our new deck stairs and create a dedicated space for our grill and outdoor seating as we continue transforming this fixer-upper into our dream home. Sometimes the projects that look the simplest end up teaching you the most. 🏡 This video is part of my complete Fixer Upper to Dream Home series, where I'm remodeling this entire house myself before building our next self-built barndominium. 👉 Watch the full remodel series here:    • Fixer Upper to Dream Home – Full Renovatio...   DIY Building + Contracting Community https://diypros.mrpostframe.com/join-...
