Artist Problems - Paint Brush Basics: Part 1
Are you new to painting? As a beginner painter, do you find yourself overwhelmed with brush options? Figuring out what you need and what you don’t need can be almost paralyzing. What’s the difference between all those different hair types? What’s a long handled brush for? Do I need a fan brush? Well, I can’t get to everything today (hence the Part 1), but I can get you started on some of the basics such as the anatomy of a brush, the design of a brush, and the different hairs and their uses. In our “Part 2” of this series, I will go into detail about the different head shapes of brushes and their uses. And please forgive me if I seem a little off my game (more than usual at least)… that cockroach gag threw me through a loop!
