El recinto de fosos calcolítico de Camino de las Yeseras: custodia de los ancestros

Spanning over 20 hectares, the large ditched enclosure of Camino de las Yeseras is a strategic site with a long period of occupation, located in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula. Thanks to close collaboration between the archaeological management team and the Camino de las Yeseras research team from the Autonomous University of Madrid, it has been possible to undertake interdisciplinary studies of ditches, huts, and burial sites. Some 10,000 documented structures, spanning almost two thousand years of prehistoric occupation, form a complex landscape of the past. They highlight the treatments of the ancestors and a management of the domestic and wild animal world forming a sophisticated belief system of societies in which their rites in time and space form surprising records.
