Could you do the Firefighter Combat Challenge?

Every recruit at Spokane Valley Fire Department is required to complete the Firefighter Combat Challenge under a certain time threshold. The faster the better. The challenge is a demanding 5-event physical test that consists of a stair climb (5 stories) with a high-rise pack, hose hoist, forcible entry, hose advance, and a victim rescue. One June 13th, 2023, Academy Class 2023-2 did the combat challenge for the first time to establish a baseline score. They will be tested again on this challenge later in Academy and be expected to show improvement.
