Retro Raleigh Super Burner - Gold BMX bicycle restoration and ride

Retro Raleigh Super Burner Mk2 - Gold BMX restoration and ride Subscribe:    / bikeituk   This BMX bike restoration is of a retro gold Raleigh Super Burner Mk2. I am sure for many this will bring back some great childhood memories, and I hope the video inspires some of you to chase that childhood dream bike. The video covers some brief history of the Raleigh BMX, before being completely stripped down, cleaned, restored, rebuilt then finally having some fun riding the Super Burner on a BMX track. A little bit of history on the Raleigh BMX models. The Mk1 Raleigh burner was originally available in three models. The first models were available in blue or red typically with matt black front forks. At the same time the tuff burner was also available, the only difference being in stead of spoked wheels the tuff burner came with five spoked mag wheels. The top of the range model was the Super Burner with Gold paint work, black frame pads and this at first was only available with spoked wheels, however a later model became available with black mag wheels which became the Raleigh Super Tuff burner. The Ultra Burner was also available in two colours in black and gold, and silver and blue. The Mk2 Raleigh Burners came with some changes, plastic pedals different handlebar grips. The frame also had an upgrade with certain round tubes being replaced with more aero oval dynamic ones. A Mk2 can also be recognised by the letter R cut out of the front and rear wheel spindle. I'm hoping these video’s inspire you to Recycle a Bicycle you may of once had, and to save a bike for future generations to enjoy and use. I've had so much fun doing this restoration and what better way to cycle then on a Recycled Old School BMX Bicycle.
