⁴ᴷ Yamagata: Yonezawa Station (山形県: 米沢駅) - Japan Walking Tour (November, 2024)

I'm heading toward the Sea of Japan side of the Tohoku region before the snow starts falling. Since I'm working along the way, I'm making my way north little by little. I've now made it from Fukushima Prefecture to Yamagata Prefecture, starting at Yonezawa Station. At the station, I bought a beef bowl bento to fuel up. It feels like I buy one every time I visit. The area around the station gets lively whenever the Shinkansen arrives, with passengers pouring out, but it soon quiets down. The city center is quite a walk from the station. Perhaps it was a bit early, as there weren’t many people walking around.
