Objectives: 1. Promote Dialogue and Conflict Resolution: Strengthen the role of peace committees and grassroots initiatives in facilitating dialogue, mediation, and conflict resolution processes within communities. 2. Foster Reconciliation and Social Cohesion: Support initiatives that promote reconciliation, healing, and the building of trust among diverse community members affected by conflict. 3. Identify the challenges and threats to Peace Initiatives 4. Enhance Effectiveness of Peacebuilding Mechanisms: Identify strategies and best practices for establishing and supporting peace committees and grassroots initiatives to ensure their sustainability and impact. About the Organization Horncenter (HC) Dialogue for Peace, Governance, and Development (The Horncenter), an independent, not-for-profit, and multi-disciplinary Think -Do -Tank organization, is devoted to examining policy issues and challenges that impact institutions and State building in Somalia and developing policy solutions. The Horncenter Dialogue advances policy debate, builds capacity, engages in media awareness-raising activities, forms networks, and generates ideas on a variety of topics, including governance enhancements, economic and social development, dialogue, peace and research, and community cohesion and integration across communities and regions of Somalia. It is led by a group of experienced practitioners, former diplomats, academicians, and local Somali activists. The Horncenter Dialogue makes a unique contribution to the current policy discussion and political direction in Somalia as an independent, non-partisan organization with roots in Somalia. The Horncenter Dialogue, a think-do tank, aims to positively influence the direction of effective execution and advancement of the politically challenging political process of Somalia through meaningful policy engagement, the contribution of sound program interventions, evidence-based policy options, and the contribution of evidence.
