Racing a 21 year old DirtBike at a British Championship was a BAD idea

I raced my 2002 yamaha YZ250 at the Hawkstone Park British championship. It was very last minute, I put my 2022 yz125 suspension in it. We had powervalve issues all day so I don’t think it was a true test of the bike as it killed the starts because the bike had zero bottom end. I came from last to 20th in race 1. Race 2 we went a lot leaner on pilot jet and needle to compensate for bottom end. Again pretty much last on start but bike was way better and I moved quick up to 17th and then the throttle cable snapped 2 laps in. Very frustrating. Ol thing sounded pretty good wide open tho :-)
