IELTS Speaking Part 1: Do you like reading? | Answer and Analysis
My answer - and my commentary on my answer! Using advanced structures in the exam is one of the key ways to boost your score. My method teaches you precisely how to do this. In Part 1 answers the "wish + past tense" and "wish + past perfect tense" patterns are used regularly. In my opinion you should use them at least twice in Part 1. In this answer I say "I really wish I had... more free time..." Every word must be spoken clearly so that the examiner notices it. Listen and then practise answering questions using this structure. Notce how flexible it is - after all, we all wish lots of things were different. Good luck
