Myst III: Exile Gameplay - Part 1: Restarted from Scratch Because of Recording Software Issues
I started over the gameplay because I had several problems to record the game properly. First, the Xbox Game Bar's toolbar refused to appear when I pressed the buttons to activate it, so I couldn't even start the recording. Also, the NVIDIA Overlay wasn't compatible with the game, and most shockingly, OBS couldn't capture the video of the game beyond the first image it detected, despite recording the audio properly. I ended up recording the original video with "Debut", a program developed by the creators of VideoPad, but I took it down because it wasn't worth purchasing that program if I ever monetize my channel, considering that, unlike VideoPad, I would be using it only for recording just one game. Finally, I started a new game from scratch after successfully recording the game with "vokoscreenNG 4.9.0", which is an open-source recording program. Therefore, I recorded this gameplay with that program and trimmed the parts when my PC's Desktop appeared with VideoPad, just like I do with OBS. I'm sorry for all this mess. Here comes the actual description. Hello everyone! After spending some time thinking it, and a lot of time working on my Ph. D. thesis, I decided to continue showcasing the "Myst" saga. This time, I'm playing "Myst III: Exile", which was published by Ubisoft because Brøderbund, the publisher of the first two games, got out of the business by this game was being developed. I tried to play the most similar way possible to my first attempt, although this time I managed to progress a little bit more, mainly because I played for about half an hour longer than before, so I found out a thing or two more during that extra time. Just for referential context, the game is set about ten years after the events of the first game. Atrus and Catherine seemed to have finally settled down and are ready to usher the survivors of the D'ni Civilization into a new era of thriving. However, the past still haunts them, not only in disturbing memories, but also in the form of a new enemy, who managed to steal the Book where Atrus wrote the Age for the D'ni survivors, called "Releeshahn". Will the Player Character recover the Book of Releeshahn for Atrus? See you in the next video!
