DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE Let refinement power the future. 🎬 DLP Paris, Laurent Nivalle & Emmanuel Rouyer ____________________________ The DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE prototype was conceived to be a very high-performance laboratory, intended to accelerate the development of technology for the next DS Automobiles designs. · Devised, developed and created by DS Performance after lifting the Formula E teams’ and drivers’ titles for two consecutive seasons, DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE is based on a carbon monocoque, twin electric motors with 600 kW (815 horsepower) and a four-wheel drive transmission. · The chassis, power unit and battery introduce innovative solutions, tested to fuel the development of future generations of 100% electric E-TENSE production models. · DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE reveals indicators to the design of future DS Automobiles models, particularly with its front. Since its launch in 2014, DS Automobiles has put electrification at the heart of its strategy. As the first premium manufacturer to be involved in Formula E, the brand has taken advantage of its success in the 100% electric championship to support its research and development into more sustainable mobility. Since 2019, DS Automobiles has been showcasing a 100% electric range to become from 2020, the multi-energy brand with the lowest CO2 emissions in Europe. The transition is accelerating: from 2024, every new DS Automobiles design will be only 100% electric. To maintain a leading position in the electrification market, DS Automobiles draws on the expertise of DS PERFORMANCE, its competition division, with the development of a prototype aimed at testing different innovations to build into the brand’s next designs.
