Kimi K3 + MCP = King of Algo Trading!

Kimi K3 just dropped from Moonshot AI — an open-source model that beats Fable 5 and GPT 5.6 on some benchmarks — so I put it to work as an algo trading agent and had it build a real strategy from scratch. Using the Kimi CLI inside Zed with the Jesse MCP, it researched, wrote, backtested, optimized, and Monte Carlo-validated a Bollinger Band squeeze strategy for ETH/USDT end to end, landing a Sharpe ratio of 1.68 on the 30-minute timeframe.
