How to Clean a Bucket Milker Quickly & Effectively | Step-by-Step CIP Cleaning Routine for Family Milk Cows Follow along as I demonstrate and explain how I clean our bucket milker quickly and effectively with a Clean-In-Place (CIP) unit. This video walks you through each step to properly wash, sanitize, and care for your milking machine — whether you’re milking one cow or several on your homestead. --- *YOU WILL NEED* • CIP washing unit (link to purchase below) • Sanitizer • Dish soap • Dairy CIP Detergent • Dairy CIP Acid --- *METHOD* *Pre-milking:* • Sanitize all milking equipment with a warm water rinse *Post-milking:* • Rinse strainer and pail with sanitizing water • Drain • Pulse warm, soapy water through milker • Rinse claw, milk hose, and milk bucket lid • Drain and rinse sink • Attach claw to the CIP • Pulse through a hot wash of CIP dairy detergent • Wash strainer and pail in detergent water • Drain and rinse sink • If using chlorinated detergent, pulse through a plain hot water rinse • Pulse through a hot rinse of CIP acid and rinse strainer and pail as well • Remove claw from CIP unit • Acid rinse the outside of the claw, milk bucket lid, milk hose, and milk bucket • Hang to dry • Drain ------------------------------------------------------ Check out our merch... ✅ https://shop.muddytoesfarmllc.com/ Interested in our recommendations?
