Iranian opposition figure Reza Pahlavi called for increased international support for Iranians seeking to overthrow the Islamic Republic, arguing that the fall of Tehran's ruling establishment would transform security dynamics across the Middle East and beyond. Speaking at the Black Sea Security Forum in Odesa, Pahlavi drew parallels between Ukraine’s struggle against Russian aggression and the Iranian people's fight against their government, describing both nations as confronting a shared adversarial axis linking Moscow and Tehran. "Our destinies are sealed. Your victory is our victory. Our victory will be yours," Pahlavi said, addressing a Ukrainian audience. Pahlavi argued that diplomacy with Iran’s current leadership cannot produce a durable solution, insisting that long-term stability can only come through a democratic transition. He said the international community should focus on empowering Iranians rather than deploying foreign troops. "The people of Iran are the boots on the ground," he said. "You don't need to deploy your troops." The exiled Iranian prince said protesters need greater support, including internet access, consistent international backing, and protection from state repression.
