Thermopylae | The Last Stand
In 480 BC, during the second Persian invasion of Greece, King Leonidas of Sparta led a small Greek force to hold the narrow pass of Thermopylae against the massive army of Xerxes I. For three days, the Greeks used the terrain to their advantage, resisting wave after wave of Persian attacks and turning the pass into one of history’s most famous battlefields. Although they were eventually betrayed, surrounded, and overwhelmed, the stand at Thermopylae became a lasting symbol of courage, sacrifice, and defiance against impossible odds. This song tells the story of Leonidas and the warriors who chose to stand and fight to the very end. Like the video, comment your thoughts, and subscribe for more historical songs.
