This house is a beach house inherited from Berk and his family by his great-grandfather; it's actually a tiny, single-story village house in the old Bodrum area. Years later, when Berk became an architect, his mother asked him to renovate it and transform it into a functional, yet soulful home that could be actively used today. This resulted in this home, which is both modest and luxurious with its perspective, style, and current amenities. We loved this contrast because from the outside, it's still a small, single-story house; but once inside, you'll see a blend of different styles, textures, materials, and approaches. It's a remarkably modern structure overlooking the sea. The beautiful sea and mountain views, the dominant red color but only in the details, the red bathroom that feels like a container within the house, the wooden accents in the living room, the bedroom that opens onto the pool, the yellow metal kitchen island, and the long garden table are our favorite features of this house.
