Born on March 12, 1998, he played college basketball at Purdue University, where he became one of the most prolific scorers in school history. Edwards gained national attention during the 2019 NCAA Tournament, averaging 34.8 points per game in the last four games and setting multiple records for three-pointers made. He was selected 33rd overall in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and later traded to the Boston Celtics.
