Benedito de Lira, known as Biu, died this Tuesday (14) at the age of 82. Mayor of Barra de São Miguel (AL), he was the father of the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL). A former senator of the Republic, Biu had been hospitalized in Maceió since the end of last year. Arthur Lira did not attend the government ceremony marking the two-year anniversary of the January 8 coup last week because he was accompanying his father's treatment in Alagoas. #UOLNewsManhã #corte
