Qcon Pro X front panel install and firmware upgrade
In the first of a new series of 'Living with the Qcon Pro-X' I look at what is going on when you install the new firmware upgrade and the Qcon Pro X stops working properly. Chances are you have an original Pro X and you haven't upgraded the front panel. Step by step (links below) I take you through ordering the new panel, fitting it to your Pro X and how to successfully install the new firmware. Rather unhelpfully there are no direct links on the main Qcon Pro X website page to tell you how to order it so I've included the link below. If you enjoy this or my other videos please consider putting a pound or two in the tip jar at my BUY ME A COFFEE page. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/Moonhare... I also have some trouble shooting hints and tips including the common problem with weird sounds or detuning of instruments when using the buttons or faders after a new installation. I bought the Qcon Pro X when I was building my home studio (Moonhare Studio) in 2017 and I am currently using it to control Cubase Pro 10.5 on a 64gig Scan 3XS windows PC. Despite having a superb feature set and tough build quality, the Pro X suffers from a User Manual that is very light on useful guidance, some patchy support from Icon and a few quirks which I can live with. That said it is now such an integral part of my workflow I really wouldn't want to be without it. You can join me on Twitter, Instagram or Soundcloud and if you’re into like and subscribe rest assured I’ll upload lots of other helpful hints that I’ve learned along the way. Remember I’m just a home studio user trying to pass on information so don’t feel compelled to join the channel if your inbox is already bulging.
