Echocardiography: Strain and Strain Rate. The SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram, organized a two-day conference on “Advanced Echocardiography” on the hospital premises on October 11th-12th, 2014. The programme was conducted by the Departments of Cardiology of SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram and SSSIHMS, Whitefield, in partnership with GE Healthcare. This conference is a part of a series on Echocardiography conferences, which take place alternately between the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prasanthigram and Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Whitefield. The faculty members at the conference included Dr. G. Vijayraghavan, a Padmashree awardee and Vice –Chariman and founder director, Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. R.
