1999 Caroline Benson 41-Robin Tells AJ The Truth Part 2

AJ can't believe what Robin has just told him and asks how she knows that he Michael's father. He is sorry that she and Jason broke up, but he won't be her revenge. Robin assures him that she wouldn't make this up. Jason told her when she first came back from Paris. Carly lied and asked Jason to go along with it and he did. Jason thought he was protecting a defenseless child from the Quartermaine's. AJ asks with disbelief if Jason was protecting his child from him. Robin says that nobody had to tell her that the baby wasn't Jason's. She knew Jason wouldn't cheat on her. No one else seemed to question it. AJ says that he questioned it and he didn't let it drop until he found out Michael's blood type which was the same as Jason's. Robin says that she can't explain that. She is just telling AJ what she knows. AJ says that if this is a lie, Jason did a hell of a lot more than just go along with it. AJ says that he confronted Jason. He asked him point blank. Robin points out that Jason didn't answer him point blank. Robin says that Jason and Carly had a thing, but it was a long time ago when she first came to town. Jason broke it off, but Carly kept throwing herself at him. She somehow managed to convince Jason that they were friends. She was worried that she would lose her son, so she went to Jason for help. If AJ had asked Jason before, if Michael was his son, he would have said no. It's just in the past few months that Jason has begun to say it, because it's true. AJ can't believe what Robin just said and angrily asks if you tell a lie long enough if it becomes true. Carly can swear by the setting sun that she is a virgin, but it won't make it true and it won't make Jason Michael's father or a decent, honest person out of Jason or Robin. It's kind of splitting hairs to call Carly a liar but not Jason. He asks Robin what about her? AJ tells Robin that she and Jason are worse than liars, they are hypocrites. The only difference between Robin and Tony is that Tony got caught. Robin says that she has no defense. She didn't think it was her place to say anything. Michael was happy. She knew it would hurt Jason if he lost Michael. But now she knows that Jason is going to lose Michael no matter what. Carly will find a way. AJ asks about his feelings. His world was turned upside down last year trying to fill the void that drinking left. He chose ELQ because he didn't have anything else. AJ demands to know if Robin has any idea how different his life would be if he had known that he had a son. Robin whispers that she is sorry. AJ tells her that she helped Jason isolate Michael from his own family. She kept his real father from getting within ten feet of him. She robbed him of a year of his son's life. AJ knew that Jason hated her, but Robin? Robin says that she doesn't hate him. It wasn't done to hurt him, it just happened. Jason didn't know that he would get that attached to Michael. It was like AJ's sobriety, one day at a time. Suddenly there was a years worth of days and Jason loved Michael more than anything in the world. AJ yells that he won't accept that. If Michael is his son, that he is his to love.! (It's on now, thanks alot Robin! dang!)
