Suzuki DR650 :: Back to the Basics! (Over Modifying, Accessorizing, and the Solution)
I have owned my DR650 for 2 years, with over 11k miles. I had to reassess what I was actually using the bike for. Once I established that, I decided to get back to the basics. I stripped some of the accessories I added off, and changed the trajectory of the build. I’m satisfied with it. I want to share my finding, opinions, and advice for anyone else thinking or modifying, or accessorizing their machine! More is not better, but there are some really good things to add! I have been most impressed with my LED headlight, Acerbis 6.6 Gallon tank, Acerbis Skid Plate, Seat Concepts Seat, carb tune/ GSXR can w/Procycle mid pipe. I also have added a rear rack/ hard case/ crash bars which have helped with my commuting. All you really need is some protection, and a better headlight bulb. Make the ergonomics more comfortable for you, and your set! Thanks for watching!
