Posted on FB on 4/17/2020 I have felt mostly okay throughout this busy week that I've had. But tonight, I needed a good cry. One of those "God, I have nothing to say, but I have a lot that I feel and I know You understand my tears" kind of cry. It seems like I had a deep longing. A longing for Jesus and Heaven, a longing for my family in the Philippines, a longing for a feeling of safety for my child and husband, and a longing for this pandemic to end. I started to think of all the people I know, even in just the last 2 weeks that have been going through some really tough times that are NOT covid related. You know there are so many struggling right now and that the pandemic or the results of it are not even on the top of their list of concerns? I was longing for peace and comfort for them. With those tears were prayers that I couldn't utter. It actually started when I was practicing another song "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" when this song started to ring in my head. And just like last time...I NEEDED to let it out and sing it.. so here I am in my bathroom, singing and recording it at 10pm so that I don't wake Ben up in the other room. And it helped my heart. I know a lot of people are praying for me. My husband and son, my parents, and sister and brother. That gives me comfort. I hope that we are not just spending time being bored at home or social distancing, but that we also spend some serious time in prayer for others.
