Blues Is Life - Champion Jack Dupree & Kenn Lending 1986

This is a film about the deep friendship and musical relationship, between legendary bluesman Champion Jack Dupree, born in New Orleans LA 1909 and guitarist Kenn Lending, born in Copenhagen DK 1955, that went on from 1978 until Jack Dupree passed away in 1992. The duo travelled together all over Europe, Africa, USA and Canada playing around 1000 concerts. And their unique sound can be heard on 20 albums. In this documentary Jack Dupree explains, why he chose a young white guy from Denmark, to be his companion the last years of his life. It's recorded in 1986, at Denmarks blues mecca "Mojo Blues Bar", witch at time was called "Rådhuskroen" and at "Soundtrack Recording Studio", both in Copenhagen DK. At "Rådhuskroen" they are accompanied by the Kenn Lending Blues Band.
