Aynur Kanbur was born in June 1967. Mezdeke, founded in 1994, consisted of Aynur Kanbur, Dilek Maltepe, and Nadya Şeker. The trio performed with their faces covered by veils, concealing their identities. The suspect confessed to the murder and recounted the details of the incident. In his statement, the suspect claimed to be a relative of Aynur Kanbur and said that he committed the murder because he felt his family had ridiculed him for years due to his work as a belly dancer.
