This time, I tried a super-saving trip from Kediri to Probolinggo by local train, for a total cost of less than 25,000 rupiah 😄 This trip used a combination of the Penataran and Supas local trains, which are known as the cheapest options for medium-distance routes in East Java. The price is certainly very attractive, perfect for those looking for a budget-friendly trip. However, behind the cheap fare, there's a "price" to pay: time and effort. To continue my journey, I had to transit in Surabaya and wait for about 3 hours. This is where it becomes clear that this trip isn't for everyone. It's perfect for those who prioritize saving money, relaxing, and not rushing. However, if you're the type who's pressed for time or don't like waiting long, this route might be quite tiring.
