Storforsen - Die Kraft und Idylle des Wassers - Stromschnellen & Natur-Badelandschaft in Schweden

Storforsen Nature Park is a popular tourist destination in northern Sweden. Here, the Piteälven River races over gigantic rapids. The enormous masses of water accelerate ever further over a length of 5 km and a drop of around 80 m, making them the largest rapids in all of Scandinavia. A natural swimming area has been created alongside the roaring river. Here, the water flows in small and large streams and rivers over a vast rocky landscape. There are many swimming spots, pools, and in some places you can jump into the water from various cliffs. The entire area is a nature reserve and well-developed. Many beautiful spots are easily accessible via walkways and bridges. There are also plenty of barbecue areas, and free firewood is available.
