This Payroll Tax Just Tripled | Paul Guppy

Here are two clarifications to information in the video: High-income workers use the Paid Family Medical Leave program more than the lowest-income workers, but middle-income workers use it the most frequently. The bill in question right now (5292) does not include a proposal to increase the rate cap to 2 percent. However, a version of the bill last year did include that increase and we fear it could happen again. The bill does change the process for how the rate is calculated to a forward-looking process based on projected need, up to the rate cap.
