Rando 2a Memory

Arm is fast asleep, I 'member a time Dr. Fatherkins came home from Saini ER and said, "We had to amputate someone's arm." I expressed surprise. He noted that it happens from time to time--"drunks, mostly." I began to internalize the message (not a true one, but a cultural trope) that addicts/alcoholics are to be looked down upon that would in turn inform my own "addiction journey" years later. Also...funny to imagine a similar interaction: "What did you do today?" "I ate some cereal, watched some TV--Melrose Place was so good!, did some laundry, you? "Chopped off someone's arm to save his life, you know, that kind of thing." lololol Gangrene is so weird. Also, after my amputory-adjacent memory, I for some reason started singing "Heat of the Moment" by Asia in my head...
