According to the Japan Monkey Park, 28 of the 36 attractions in the park were not operating due to a power outage before its 10:00 AM opening. The park initially opened, but decided to temporarily close at 1:00 PM to investigate the cause of the power outage. "It's a shame, but since we've come all this way, we'll go to the zoo now," and "We want to come back and try again," said a visitor. According to the park, an investigation revealed a gecko that had entered the power distribution equipment, and this gecko is believed to be the cause of the power outage. The park will operate as usual from 10:00 AM tomorrow, the 19th.
