Graduated with honors from Tokyo University of the Arts High School, the University of Music Leipzig, and the University of the Arts Berlin Graduate School. Certified German State Performer. He has been a full-time instructor at the German State Music School, a soloist at the Menuhin Foundation, a contract member of the Theater Nordhausen, and a guest conductor with numerous symphony orchestras both in Japan and abroad, including the Tokyo Kosei World Orchestra and the Gewandhaus Orchestra, and has performed in over 3,000 concerts. He is also the music director of the Hokkaido Tokachi Shimizu Wind Orchestra. He guest conducts, judges competitions, teaches at schools, and gives private lessons both in Japan and abroad. Wind band teaching experience: He has taught at over 100 schools nationwide, including junior high schools, high schools, and universities. He has also taught wind bands and high schools in Taiwan, and given private and group lessons in China and Korea. He also provides online lessons in remote locations, and composes and arranges for guest conducting and ensemble contests. He is currently hosting open wind band workshops and wind band seminars across the country.
