Replacing injectors with higher-flow models doesn't simply mean installing the new parts and speeding off. There's a calculation behind this change to ensure that the amount of fuel injected remains correct and that the engine runs safely. In this video, I show the process of choosing and replacing 80 lb/h at 3 bar injectors with FT Injector 120 lb/h at 3 bar injectors, which then deliver approximately 146 lb/h when used with 4 bar of differential pressure. Throughout the video, I explain how to use the calculator available on our website to correctly size the injectors according to the project's target power. Then, we show the mathematical calculation used to correct the injection map, allowing the engine to maintain the same amount of fuel injected in the main map even with the use of significantly larger injectors. The same value can be applied to all injection time values ​​of other fuel maps.
