Toorak Road, Kooyong, Vic | Removed Railway Crossing

Definition and History: Toorak Road Level Crossing In Kooyong, was the first crossing in Victoria to get Boom Barriers replacing the old Interlocking gates. This Crossing was 8.9km from Melbourne and Served the Glen Waverly line. This crossing had its Boom Barriers Installed In February 1956 and Removed in April 2020 as Part of the LXRP (Level crossing removal Project). Equipment: Two Westinghouse Hybrid Bells Generation 2 (both had foam in them and sounded a bit flat) On the Outer Gated Signals (Both the Northern and Southern Sides), 4 Wishbone Gates sitting on 1 Western Cullen Hayes Gate Mechanism (Northern Median signal), 1 Safetran Gate Mechanism (Northern Outer Signal) and 2 Westinghouse EB Gate Mechanisms (Southern Signals), This crossing also had 1 Cantilever with Westinghouse New Style LED's on it held on by a Westinghouse Crossarm (Southern Median Signal), And the signals had a total of 16 Westinghouse New Style LED's on them which were being held on by 7 Westinghouse Crossarms. All the Main signals had Black Stop On Red Signal Signs, 2 Track Signs and Normal Style Crossbucks.
