Quickly becoming one of Thailand's Tourism hot spots is Khao Lak. In the province of Phang Nga just north of Phuket and on the Andaman Sea Coast is where Khao Lak is located. This region is made up from 3 Thailand Villages, Nang Thong, Bang Niang and Khao Lak. Spread out over approximately 30 kilometers of coast line Khao Lak has some outstanding beaches like the famous Memories Beach Surf spot, White Sand Beach, Coconut Beach, Khuk Khak Beach, Nang Thong Beach and Small Sandy Beach in the National Park. Khao Lak area has Thap Lamu Port which is the gateway to the magnificent Similan Islands National Park. This area has made a very strong recovery after being devistated by the 2004 Tsunami and really is worth adding to your list of destinations when planning your Thailand Travel Adventure.
