Interventional Stroke Rounds - Warning Strokes

This video presents a woman in her 30's with transient ischemic attacks (TIA), an important warning sign of stroke. She is discovered to have a severe blockage of a carotid artery which is corrected during an angiogram with a stenting procedure. The steps of carotid stenting and devices used in the procedure are carefully explained. Also demonstrated is the importance of routine followup with a physician to allow the recognition of new neurologic problems before they require emergent intervention. Produced by Coleman Martin, MD.
