It is a unique experience. Here are some tips to make your ride more comfortable. 1. Always wear long pants. Otherwise, the thick camel hide and the blankets will chaff your skin. Similarly, wear closed toe shoes. It is also a good idea to wear sunglasses and wrap your head in a scarf to keep the sand out. 2. You mount the camel on the ground and then lean back as the camel stands. 3. Camels walk on soft sand dunes. As a result, they sway much more than horses. It makes for a more comfortable experience for the rider to relax and sway to the animal's rhythm. Don't fight the camel's movements. 4. Riders usually do not have a saddle. A standard configuration is a thick blanket plus a bar to hold onto with both hands. 5. Dismounting can be tricky for new riders. The camel will drop to its front knees. In preparation, keep your arms locked and lean back as far as possible.
